Product Review: ELF Studio Creme Liner in Black

From ELF
Creates smooth lines that are defined and precise. Smudge-proof, budge-proof and water-resistant coverage for all day wear to combat against, sweat, tears and rain! Slanted Eyeliner Brush included!

This is my first cream/gel liner. I bought my ELF Creme Liner two weeks ago. I already mentioned it in my Saturday Haul which I posted last August 6. I am  using this product for 2 weeks straight! What can I say about this product is that I love love love it! I never wore any kind of liners before on a daily basis but when I started using this baby, I just fell in love with it. I use this every day when I go to work and it stayed in place the whole day without smudging and budging. And because this is a creme type of liner, application of this product is just a breeze! This is my first time to use a cream/gel type of liner but I didn't had a hard time using it. The brush that came with it is very useful too. You can create a very thin line using it. For the price of Php250.00 , you can never go wrong with this product.

Swatch

After washing it off with water, I rubbed it using my finger.

See? The product is still there. You can remove it using a good eye makeup remover but in my case, I use petroleum jelly in removing my eye makeup since it is way cheaper than makeup removers.

Pros:
Inexpensive
Very Pigmented
A little goes a long way
Dries out easily after applying it
Smudge-proof, Budge-proof and water-resistant!

Cons:
Limited shades available.

Rating:
5 stars!

I LOVE this product to bits! This is definitely worth a try. Would I repurchase? YES!

Hope you find this review helpful.
Have a nice day everyone:)

Product Review: Beauty Cosmetics' 78 Piece v.2 Palette

Finally! My review for my Beauty Cosmetics 78 Piece Palette is here! Bought this one online three weeks ago for only Php700.00. Cheap, eh? That's actually what made me decide to buy this palette. It's very affordable and everything I need is already in there.  Eye shadows, highlighters, liners, and blushes. I asked the seller if this one is the same as the Coastal Scents palette and the ever accommodating seller, Rosenn, answered me YES. They get their palettes from the same manufacturer of Coastal Scents. The packaging is a shiny black case and has a mirror inside it. Also included inside is a dual-ended sponge tip applicator. This baby is very sleek which makes it easy to carry around. I already swatched some of the eye shadows in this palette and already tried the blushes as well. The shadows are a mix of matte and shimmer. I noticed that most of the matte eye shadows aren't pigmented and won't show up no matter how many times I try to apply it. On the other hand, those with shimmers are very pigmented especially the brighter shades. Same thing goes with the highlighters and liners. The blushes are all matte and also not pigmented but I like them just the way they are :) Why? Because I have heavy hands and I tend to apply too much on my face! That's why I prefer blushes which aren't much pigmented so that I can have more control over it and would not end up looking like a clown! I love the colors of the blushes and I believe they all suited me.

Here are the VERY few swatches. :p I would love to post more swatches but I just don't have time now.

(If you are looking for an online store that sells affordable makeup palettes and brush sets, you can check Beauty Cosmetics online store. They have a wide array of palettes and brushes. The seller/owner is very accomodating too!)

I know all my posts aren't that informative. I don't know but I am not much of a writer. I'd rather solve tons of math problems rather than write. lol. But I hope this one will help you still. Thank you for reading!. Have a nice day! :)

Product Review: Beauty Cosmetics' 20 Pc. Concealer Palette

So I finally laid my hands on the concealer palette I bought from Beauty Cosmetics last week. I’ve been trying to control myself not to buy much (cosmetics) now since I already have too much. But then again, my patience for not buying stuffs finally gave up and last week, I ordered this 20 piece concealer palette together with a 78 piece palette and eyebrow stencils, online.  It arrived next to my door steps so fast. My package came like 24 hours after I paid the seller.

And when I opened the courier's pouch…tadaaaa!!!

I like how the seller secured the package very well. She wrapped the palettes using bubble wraps and sandwiched in between styrofoams. So the packaged came to me without any damage.

Swatches for the color correctors.

and Swatches for the concealers.

This product is priced at Php650.00. Cheaper compared to the ones being sold by other online sellers. This one contains 12 concealer and 8 skin corrector. It also came with two sponge tip applicator which obviously look useless.  What I noticed about this concealer palette is that it is more for the people with cooler undertones. I love that it has lots of shades but sadly, only few suits me. I also thought that this one has a creamy consistency but I was wrong. It's actually hard to apply compared to cream concealers since the consistency is very very dry. Though some shades worked in concealing my dark circles, I personally am disappointed with it. On the other hand, the color correctors included in this palette is love! The white and peach one is great for highlighting, the purple and lavender one evened out my skin tone and reduced too much yellow on my skin. I have yet to try the other colors.BTW, the darkest brown shade included in this palette is the one  I am using to contour my nose. It works very well too! So, this product isn't bad at all. I just wish that they included a mirror in it. I am giving this product 3 out of 5 stars!

Thanks for reading guys. Have a great day!♥

Love,

Product Review: Nanny Rose's Sticks and Pulls

I used to shave unwanted hairs especially on my underarms before but I found out that shaving may cause chicken skin. That's when I decided to go to a waxing salon to have my underarms waxed. I find it too costly that's why I tried this option of waxing my own underarms. I discovered Epilin Hair Remover last year which is really effective in removing unwanted hairs but then I find it difficult to use since it needs to be be heated first in order for the wax to adhere to the skin and because of that, I sometimes end up with a slightly burnt skin after using it :( Sometime this year, I saw boxes of Nanny Rose's Sticks and Pulls at Watsons. I read that it can be used as is so I bought it. It comes in three sizes. I think the largest costs around Php300.00 and the smallest, which I bought, costs Php99.00. A box contains a jar of wax, 3 washable fabric strips, and 2 wooden spatulas.

What it looks like. It is primarily made of honey! You can tell by just smelling it.

What I like about this wax is that it can be used hot or cold and is also made up of natural ingredients which is a plus for those who have sensitive skin.  I immediately tried it after buying. So how did I use it? I spread the wax on my underarm (without heating it), pressed the fabric strip and pulled it from the bottom upwards. I admit that it did not completely removed my underarm hair  and that I need to repeat the procedure once again. But overall, I like this product! It works for me, it's painless, and it's cheap! I use it 2-3 times a month for two months now and I still have 1/4 product left. By the way, I have to remind you to make sure that you close the jar very well after using it and that you clean it as well. Remember, this product contains honey! On my first use, I left mine with some wax residues in the container and upon seeing it the next day, I see some ants on it! So clean, clean, clean the jar very well!

That's it for today's review. Have a nice day! :)

Product Review: Purederm Nose Strips

One of my skin problems is having a lot of blackheads particularly on my nose area. My pores are big and open that's why dirt tend to sit deep in my skin. I often go to a skin care center once in a while to have my face cleansed and to remove stubborn blackheads, but now that I am working already, I don't have time anymore to get a facial often. When I read some good reviews on how effective nose strips are in eliminating blackheads and whiteheads, I thought of trying it out. I bought a Pack of Purederm Nose Pore Strips, available at Watsons, for Php79.00. A pack contains three pore strips.

How to Use:
1. Thoroughly wash your face, making sure that it is free of any creams or make up.
2. Open the pack with your dry hands.
3.  Thoroughly wet your nose with water. If your nose is not wet enough, the strip may not stick and may not be effective.
4. Apply the strip to moistened nose area with the shiny side facing your skin. Press down and smooth out air bubbles, ensuring good contact with the skin.
5. Let the strip dry for 10 to 15 minutes. The strip should feel stiff as it dries.
6. After the strip is dried, slowly and carefully peel off strip starting at edges, pulling toward center. If there are any residue, rinse off with water.

Wanna see how much dirt did it removed on my nose?

Here's the proof. Eeeew! right?! I know you shouldn't be seeing this but I just want to show you guys that this prod really works. I was amazed how this pore strips removed sebum and blackheads on my nose. Although it did not totally removed the visible blackheads,  I can still see the big difference before and after using the strips. It really lessened my blackheads. I also like that it did not hurt nor irritate my skin afterwards. I'm giving this product 4 out of 5 stars. I would probably buy again. :)

Product Review: IN2IT Waterproof Eyebrow Colour

Good morning everyone! This one will just be a quick post. I just want to share with you guys this product I am currently loving right now. The IN2IT Waterproof Eyebrow Colour I bought recently at Watsons. I am in search of a good brow powder and I heard this one is a very good find. It has three shades in one compact and the product contains vitamin E but I don't know if it makes sense having vitamin E on brow powders!? The price of this is Php299.00. A bit pricey for its 3.5g Wt. This product makes a very good natural-looking, more defined brows. I use an angled brush dipped in water in applying this.

That's it for now guys. If you have questions regarding this prod, do not hesitate to comment below. :)

Product Review: Ever Bilena Advance Concealer

I am almost finished with my favorite ELF All Over Cover Stick so when I went to SM Department Store yesterday, I went to Watson to check a good yet cheap concealer to try. I have horrible dark under eye circles so what I really want is a concealer with very good coverage. I checked out Ever Bilena's counter and found this product

Photo from EB's website

This concealer is priced at Php160.00 for 20ml. I read that concealers which are meant to be used for dark circles should be a shade lighter than your skin tone to brighten up the eye contour. The shade I chose was soft beige which is just the same as my skin tone and not a shade lighter. I thought about picking out the light vanilla shade which is lighter but it has a pinkish undertone so I opted to just buy the soft beige shade because it's yellow-based.

Ever Bilena Advance Concealer in Soft Beige

The consistency of this prod is kinda watery, hence the light coverage. Whenever I try to blend this to my under eye, I tend to erase most of the product that I applied!

Could you see the difference? This product did nothing in concealing my dark circles. I also tried using this to cover my zits and still it didn't work. I tried their tester before buying but the lighting is not good enough for me to see if this product works well. I bought this because the SA sales-talked me. Ahhhhh! Blame the SA! lol.  Will I repurchase? No. I would rather go back to ELF's All Over Cover Stick. I just use this product prior to the application of my face powder since it provide UVA/UVB Protection.

Product Review: Geo Contact Lens in 3 Tone Brown

I finally had the chance to buy another pair of contact lens from a multiply shop. I still have a pair of Flex Wear Contact Lens but since it'll gonna expire already after a month, I decided to buy a new one. It's a perfect timing for me since the multiply shop where I bought the lenses is having a sale. From Php650.00, the price was marked down to php570.00! How cheap is that? Here's the lens that I chose.

I find the color of this baby less opaque compared to TrueColors lenses but I love how it look just right and natural on me. I also love that I didn't feel any discomfort while wearing this. I already tried using it for 12 hours straight and didn't had any problems with it at all!  For its price and comfort, I will definitely repurchase!

Product Review: Etude House Petite Darling Nail Polish

Hello everyone! Today I am going to share with you a very good nail polish I just tried recently. That is, the Petite Darling Nail Polish from Etude House. I don't have any plan on buying this nail polish but when I saw this baby on Etude House when I purchase their Bubble Hair Coloring, I just said to myself "This petite nail polish is the cutest!" So I put it on my basket without thinking twice. It is priced at php48.00. More pricey compared to other brands of nail polishes but hey! the package is so cute not to mention it's pink! I wouldn't mind the price.. The shade I chose is like a nude pink shade. I don't know the exact name though since it is not numbered nor can I understand what the text on its bottom part means. Here's what it looks like.

Etude House Petite Darling Nails in ???

Okay! I know I didn't painted my nails pretty well! I am not a manicurist anyway!  lol

Pros:
  • Cute packaging
  • Nice color payoff
  • Doesn't chip off easily. It lasted 4 days on my nails sans top coat
  • No smell at all.
  • Dries easily
Cons
  • For its petite size, it's a bit pricey. Yeah Php48.00 for a bottle of nail polish is pricey for me :p
  • You'll never know what's the shade name of it unless you know how to read the korean texts on it
Will I repurchase? Definitely! I love how long this nail polish stayed on my nails! I love the color and packaging as well.  Try this too! :)

Etude House Blackhead remover sheet (Php78.00 each)

How to use it:
  • Adhere black head remover sheet  over nasal area for 15 minutes then remove *Tip: Use warm water or steamed towel to open pores prior to application
  • Use cotton swab or pad to wipe exposed sebum, blackheads, or whiteheads with downward motion
  • Adhere tightening gel sheet  over the same area. Leave on for 15 minutes then remove

Ask me what I love about this product and I'll answer you with NOTHING. This product didn't work for me at all. I have big and open pores especially on my nasal area that's why I am having problem with blackheads. I thought this product would be great in removing blackheads but it did nothing. I can still see my (very visible) blackheads after using this. Would I buy again? No. I would rather buy the nose patch from Purederm which works better on me.
